Merry Christmas to all !!!

I want to wish a Very Merry Christmas to all, We are all so busy during the year that it's nice to stop and enjoy family and friends, good times and great food!

I look very forward to a great year in 2007! As I leave behind and exciting and rewarding 2006.I will be posting rates in the new year, Thanks to all that have helped me make Urban Edge Photography a success and see you all in the new year =)

Down town...

Just of downtown, I wanted to add these into the favorites too but then again each photo is special in some way or another. Downtown is a nice place to go if you want those really great homemade fries from the chip truck, Or if you like to see all the old architecture of this city it is amazing!

Only a few more.....

It's so hard deciding on favorite photographs...I've added a few more into the mix, I really feel a connection to each of these and they all tell a different story. I guess to me when I view a photo I really "see" them not just look at them.

I can't believe how fast the week's are flying by....I've only done half my Christmas shopping and now I have the worst cold in years! yep the perfect time of year to be under the weather :( All I can do is hope that it goes away...soon!

Ethan had his Picture with Santa "tanta" Last Friday, It went really well! He got his candy cane had a chat with Santa and click I've got another Ethan and Santa photo to display :) On Saturday Tyler and I took Ethan to pancake breakfast with Santa...I'm sure he's had enough of Mr.S for a while now. lol

It has been an adventure of learning and creating images that people with endure for year's to come, That is the best part of my job as a Photographer, Seeing the reactions on my client's faces =) . I just love love love what I do and I strive each day to challenge myself and continue capturing what I see... Life!

Field's of gold....

It's quit the contrast from my last post, But today I feel the need to share one of my favorite places Cabin I miss it and definitely could use the "time out" to relax and breath the country air. Ha mommy needs a "time out" =) The best part of the Cabin is my family which I guess around the holiday time you tend to miss more but I miss them all the time! We are here in Manitoba and my family is in British Columbia. It doesn't seem too far away...On the other hand It feels like they are on another planet for lack of better word's. We miss you guy's and Ethan still ask's for "Kuncle" ;)

It's once again Friday and the week's are flying by. Have you bought any Christmas gifts yet?
I'm starting this week. And we will take Ethan to see Santa at the mall next week too. I wonder how he'll react?

This weekend I'm booked with the studio on Saturday and Client's on Sunday. I'm still proofing the Wedding shot's and will post soon =) Busy time of year and I love it!

I'm so bad....

I'm so bad for using Ethan's last year shot's, However in my defence it has finally snowed, In the last two day's we have gotten 14cm. Not too many people get excitted when it snow's but I'm looking forward to all the great shot's I will get. Now then I have no excuses not to get out with my little man and snap away....Can't wait:)

Admitting it is the first step....I've put up my christmas tree yeasterday and I know alot of other people in the same boat as me, I'm not alone! LOL. I just couldn't resist any more. It's not decorated just light's but it definatley feels like Christmas now (with the fresh white snow too). Of course there is still stocking's to be hung and other finishing touches..I'll hold off on that till next week:)

Today Ethan and I swim almost done the class :( He really like's it! Not much going on after that, Maybe a backyard photo session? Oh he will LOVE me for that!

Just a few...

Just a few of Ethan, who else? these were taken on the old camera, just hanging out at the park it was an amazing day for November. I'm still having technical difficulties with the other computer!(don't know if it's the computer or my brain that's the problem) Hopefully soon it will be ready to go and I can switch over to the canon :) I really want to post what i've taken so far :)

The weekend was CRAZY! Saturday I shot a wedding, It was absolutely beautiful...a winter wonderland theme for sure. The colour's were white silver and red, I can't wait to post the photo's . On Sunday I had a family shoot, Very fun energetic family and again I will post soon.

Today I'm working in the studio and getting thing's ready for Christmas. i LOVE Christmas and every year it comes by so fast and before we know it, it's gone. Well this year I'm celebrating early and taking it all in.

Oh I changed the screen colour in the spirit..like it?

Friday Already ????

Well, the week went really fast for us...not a whole lot going on, just the usual swim wednesday only 2 more classes :( I'm sure we will go again in january. Ethan will get his certificate as either a star fish or duck. It was really fun to see him learning in the water kicking and blowing bubbles and of course going under water. He just need's to learn how to close his mouth before going under:)

The couple previous post I had mentioned that Ethan likes to put his metal crayon bucket on his head, and I would post that... well today's the day. It's he just darlin'? yep that's my kid!

My weekend is packed... I'm Shooting a wedding saturday and have client's booked on sunday:) I've got some great idea's and really can't wait...I just hope that the weather stay's like this...It's beautiful.(for November) I will post those ASAP.

Purple CRAYON bandit!!!!!!!

Purple Crayon Bandit !!!!!!
So i Caught Ethan drawing on his wall the other day with a Purple crayon and let's just say although I'm happy to see his artistic side coming out, I would love it to stay on paper! It may be time to upgrade to a easel for my little Picasso? Oh I wonder if those magic erasers work?

Other than my artisit redoing his room colour our weekend was good. I was in a craft show on sunday, Just advertising the photography and I had alot of interested people come talk with me :) I held a draw for a free session valued at $130.00. they were very happy to enter and I'll be calling the winner tonight. I also had a lady from the downtown exchange interested in displaying my work in the gallery! She said "you're work is very high end"! She gave me her card and would like me to come by this week. So you just might see Urban Edge Photography in the local downtown gallery :)

Next weekend is also my first wedding shoot! I'm so excited, I will of course post next week with photo's of that...you'll probably get tired of seeing it all.

What made you LAUGH today?

Well for me it's usually alway's ethan doing something goofy. Like when he bit a whole in his sandwich and looked through it at me and said " I see you"!...Or when he comes running out of his room with his metal crayon bucket on his head, I have proof of that one I'll share next post.

Of all the silly goofy thing's he does to make me laugh, I know that he is learning and growing each day =) and I love this silly little man!

So take time to slow down from day to day stuff and look @ all the goofy ones around you, and take some pictures too.

Ethan I love you and everyday is an adventure with you....I never know what you'll do next!

Has the christmas bug hit you yet? I'm itching to get some shot's of ethan, maybe this weekend? I've just need to get thing's together! ahhh the day's are to short.

Wednesday we had swimming class it was fun as alway's, we had life jackets on this time and learned how to flip the kid's over so that they know how to relax while floating on their back's...It was so cute to see all the little one's giggling on their back's like little turtle's =)

My christmas bug carried through the weekend, I went into the basement and found all the goodies :) I just made sure that all the lights still work, & did the inventory on the ornament situation as we lost a few last year. Today I bought one of those iron deer's with light's. He is in the front yard it's so cute!The rest of the outdoor light's are up and bow's just need the wreath on the door and done!(the outside) lol:)

I have to get my butt in gear and get some christmas shot's of Ethan, I'm waitting for my other computer, Should be here this week.I'll post them ASAP.

Happy Friday !!!!!

Not much to mention just hope everyone has a great weekend and I've already caught the christmas bug...I know to early but I just can't help it. Have you been to Micheals crafts store? How could you not get the bug from that store? lol:)

This past week my darling husband surprised me with a early christmas gift....A canon rebel xti camera!18-55mm and attachment lens 55-200mm :) Wow I've been playing with it and this puppy is ready to shoot. nothing to upload yet, Soon though. Thanks Tyler for the best christmas ever! Love you.


I just want to say a special rememberance for my friend Cory's lil' Baby Boy Matthew, Today two years ago he was born premature, And didn't make it through his journey. With little angel's by his side Matthew had to leave Cory so soon, And no one can tell her why or have the answer's to all her question's, Just know that Matthew is around you always and kisses you too. He will live forever in our heart's. my thought's are with you Cory and Steve. love you.
